OUR CO-FOUNDERS STORY
Kelly Kuchman, Retired Navy SEAL, Class 170
As the Co-Founder of BraveHeart Mountain Coffee, I served 20 years with the US Navy SEAL teams, followed by 10 years of working with a classified security team in the Middle East. My brain injuries were caused by years of combat-blasts (i.e., explosions, IED pressure waves and blunt force head trauma ) created the wiring in my left and right hemisphere to become entangled. I suffered for years with memory loss, hearing loss and constant aches and serious pain in different parts of my body. I had trouble accessing and expressing my thoughts. My emotions fluctuated up and down, where one minute I was frustrated and angry and the next minute I found myself distraught.
Overall, my body was filled with heavy toxic metals and my brain was not functioning at it's highest level due to years of brain trauma. I subsequently made poor choices that almost cost me my marriage. I was caught up in a cycle of self-destruction. That's when I realized I needed help. Thanks to my loving wife, Monica, and with the help of oxygen, sound, and light therapies combined with psychoactive plant-medicines, today, I am a walking testimony that these unique healing modalities work. These unique ways of healing gave me my life back. It's truly been the "BREATH of LIFE" for me. It tremendously improved the quality of my life and I can proudly say that my mind is constantly renewing, my marriage is healing and each day I march towards the mountaintop of FULL RESTORATION.
